Emergency First Aid at Work
About Course
Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond to first aid emergencies in the workplace.
This one-day course is designed for people working in low-risk environments, including offices, retail businesses, hospitality venues and other workplaces where basic first aid provision is required.
Delegates will learn how to assess an emergency, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), manage choking and bleeding, and assist someone who is unresponsive or experiencing a medical emergency.
The course combines clear instruction with practical exercises, helping delegates develop the confidence to act quickly and safely when first aid is needed.
Training also covers the management of life-threatening bleeding, following nationally agreed best practice.
Successful completion provides an Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, valid for three years, helping employers meet their workplace first aid responsibilities.
